WE VolunTour, in partnership with HSBC GEAR Club, is going to visit Buscalan in Kalinga to share some love to the people in this remote village. Originally, this was trip scheduled in December, but because of the typhoon, this is rescheduled on February 6-7, 2015.
Buscalan is the home of the famous Apo Whang Od, the oldest and the last traditional surviving tatoo artist in Kalinga. We wanted to meet Apo Whang Od and get to know her and her story (probably have some tattoo session, only if she is not that exhausted) but more than the visit we wanted to share some warm love to the people in this very cold community.
We will be giving out a Christmas grocery bag per family to the 130 families that live in Apo Whang Od’s neighborhood.
Join us in this once in a lifetime opportunity of giving back and sharing our blessings to the members of the Butbut tribe in Buscalan. Experience all of this for only Php2950 which covers van transportation, homestay accommodation, guide fees, 3 meals and a bagtag.
